Delkim Tone sounds 2 minute 1-6 video

Just finished up a very short 2 minute video showing how the Delkim Tx-i alarms sound. I went through all of the 6 tone settings as well as the sensitivity settings which will change the speed of the sound as well. I figured I would make this video for any non delkim users so they could know what the tones sound like.

Tiger Nut prep video out now

I just started my 2013 carp fishing season. I always tend to start off the year using particle baits. I know there are a lot of written articles on prepping tigers but with misuse and incorrect soaking I felt you can never have enough material out there on how to prep tiger nuts properly.


They are very easy to make. All you have to do is do 3 parts water to 1 part tigers. I add in a little lite brown sugar for flavor an the sugar is a good attractor as well. I mix everything up to make sure the sugar is dissolved and let them soak for 24-48 hours. I really prefer 48 hours just to ensure the tigers have soaked up enough water. After 48 hours I then bring them to a boil for 30 minutes and when that time is done I let them in the pot until cool. Your tigers are now ready to use for carp fishing! It is as easy as that.

2013 Sessions have begun!

2013 sessions have finally begun for myself. The ice is finally off of the lake but I decided to start my year off fishing with friends. I traveled across state to meet them and it was nice to see old friends. I fished with 2 of my buddies and then my other friend whom I lost his number since my phone crashed showed up by accident so that was cool. Then on Saturday night the rest of the Toks crew showed up by surprise so that made things even better. It all sort of just fell into place this weekend.

 

 

 The only bad news of the weekend was no carp were caught out of 15 rods in the water. The fish were just not having it. The water was cold and the temps never reached what the weather man said they were. It went from 80 earlier in the week to upper 40's and 50's all weekend. No signs of any fish at all until the last day after we had packed it in. There is always next time though.


You can see in the pictures the ducks were keeping my spot extra clean and they didn't miss any free offerings. lol

 

 

 

Instructional video for the catapult and how to use it while carp fishing.

Time for another beginner video but this can also help out those who have been fishing for a while and have never used the catapult. The catapult is such a handy tool for carp fishing. It is small  and light weight to carry. You can buy replacement parts for it relatively cheap and you can bait up a very precise area in no time at all.

 I made up a video showing what a catapult does and how to use one. I was watching some match fishing videos and saw how easy it was for them to keep fish in a swim. I decided to buy one years ago and never looked back and I am sure you will be the same way after using one.

You can buy knuckle protectors as well or some models such as the Fox come with them already. You will have the pouch come back and hit you at some point so it is best to have some form of protection while using one so you don't injure your hand or cut your knuckles open.

 

You can buy different bands and pouches to cater to all types of baits and they are easy to change out from bait to bait. You can achieve distances of 100 yards easily but for the most part you will be baiting around 50 yards or so. I hope you enjoyed the video and feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Delkim TX-I Bite alarm LED settings video and how to change them and what they do.

I wanted to start some quick videos on the Delkim TX-I alarms. They have many features and I love using the alarms as they indicate extremely well. Well lets be honest they are the best out there in my opinion and they have a ton of accessories also to help even more. Today I went over the LED settings. These need to be adjusted every time you turn your alarm on as they do not hold settings when you shut them off.

It is very simple with turning on the alarm is the default setting with regular brightness and no nitelite. If you do 1 beep you will get regular brightness and the nitelite will come on for you. When you do 2 beeps you will get high brightness and no nitelite setting. 3 beeps will get you high brightness and the nitelite will come one. 4 beeps is excellent for margin fishing because it is a very low dim brightness and the nitelite will come on for you. Be careful when using the high brightness when it is on. You are not supposed to look directly into it as it is extremely bright! Thanks for watching.

I just finished up with another beginner video. This time around it is the rod pod and also bank sticks. I go over the different names of parts in each one. I also show some of the different features of the rod pod and how to use it. This was made for beginner carp anglers so they could see some options . In the united states you don't see a lot of carp anglers in all locations so this was to show what all products are out there to make carp fishing easier and more comfortable on the banks.
